What TakeMe2theFood is

TakeMe2theFood is a platform for food festival and event operations. It connects event organizers, food vendors, and attendees through tools for ticketing, vendor menus, event maps, and safety coordination.

Account eligibility

You must be 13 years old or older to create an account. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must create the account and manage your use of the platform. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately at info@takeme2thefood.com.

Account types and responsibilities

Attendees

Attendees use TakeMe2theFood to access event maps, vendor menus, tickets, safety features, and restaurants listed on the platform. You agree to use these features for their intended purpose and not to misuse the safety or missing-child tools.

Food vendors

Vendors list menus, manage orders at events, and apply to participate through TakeMe2theFood. You are responsible for the accuracy of your menu information, pricing, and compliance with all applicable food safety regulations. Inaccurate listings may result in account suspension.

Event organizers

Organizers create and manage events, invite vendors, issue tickets, and access operational reports. Organizer accounts are reviewed and approved before activation. You are responsible for the accuracy of your event listings and for complying with applicable local laws and venue requirements.

Tastemakers

Tastemakers are invited participants who contribute restaurant and food vendor recommendations to the platform. Tastemaker access is by invitation only. If you have been invited to participate, your use of the Tastemaker program is also governed by the Tastemaker Program Terms provided at the time of your invitation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Impersonate another person or submit false information about yourself, your business, or your event.
• Interfere with the operation of the platform or other users' access to it.
• Attempt to access accounts or data you do not own.
• Use the missing-child or safety broadcast feature for non-emergency purposes or to submit false reports.

Payments and refunds

TakeMe2theFood does not sell or process ticket purchases. Ticket sales for events are managed directly by the event organizer through their own methods. For questions or refunds on a ticket purchase, contact the event organizer.

Organizer subscriptions and vendor participation fees on the TakeMe2theFood web platform are processed by Stripe. These transactions occur on the web only. For disputes related to an organizer subscription or vendor fee, contact us at info@takeme2thefood.com.

If TakeMe2theFood is accessed through the Apple App Store, any in-app purchases are processed exclusively by Apple and are subject to Apple's payment terms and refund policies. If accessed through Google Play, any in-app purchases are processed by Google and are subject to Google's payment terms. TakeMe2theFood does not collect payment information directly through mobile app store versions of the platform.

Safety features

The missing-child broadcast is designed to help families and event staff coordinate quickly at large gatherings. When a broadcast is sent, only the information in the child's profile is shared — which may include a name or label, age, physical description, and photo. Providing a name is optional; a profile with only a description and photo is sufficient to use this feature.

This feature is not a substitute for contacting law enforcement. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 first.

Content you provide

By submitting menus, photos, event descriptions, or other content, you grant TakeMe2theFood a non-exclusive license to display that content as part of the event experience on the platform. You confirm that you have the right to share any content you submit and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

Account suspension and removal

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or cause harm to other users or the platform. This action may be taken directly through platform administration tools. We will notify you by email before taking action except where immediate action is necessary to protect others.

Organizers and vendors may request the removal of an account by emailing info@takeme2thefood.com. An investigation will be conducted before any removal is carried out. We will follow up by email with the outcome.

Limitation of liability

TakeMe2theFood provides the platform on an "as available" basis. We are not responsible for the actions of event organizers, vendors, or attendees, or for circumstances outside our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TakeMe2theFood's total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email before material changes take effect. Continuing to use TakeMe2theFood after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
